Gauze Swab Without X-Ray Detectable Threads

Compressed Gauze, a Krinkle rolled gauze packed in compression, is an ultra-compact roll of sterile with excellent fluid absorption. Its finished edges reduce loose ends or lint.
Compressed Gauze is essential for any medical kit for treating bleeding and dressing and bandaging wounds. It can control bleeding with a compression bandage, as backing gauze for hemostatic dressings or wound bandaging.
It comes vacuum-packed for easy storage and expands to cover large wound areas. Perfect to use under a compression bandage to slow serious blood flow.

Compressed Gauze

Green or blue cotton gauze swabs commonly use in the medical field such as first aid kits for animals. It is a nonsterile or sterile material mainly made of high-quality pure cotton yarn and usually with antibacterial ointments or ointments to clean and cover open wounds or wounds, as veterinary use.

Edge-unfolded gauze swabs: Use for cleaning, preparing, or dressing a wound; nonsterile and sterile. It has the risk of thread ends being exposed outside the gauze, causing stinging injuries. The clinic gauze swabs are typically edge-unfolded.
Edge-folded gauze swabs: Also called French folded Gauze Swabs, reduce fraying and linting. They are always packed into a sterile pouch and sterilization, then used in the OR to absorb blood and stop bleeding.

Edge-Unfolded and Folded Gauze Swabs

Sterile Gauze Swabs help stop or prevent bleeding from minor punctures such as injections or venipuncture, clean wounds with the appropriate cleaning agent, and cushion the wound before it is bandaged. Especially when used in the OR, it helps absorb the mass blood and stop the bleeding during the operation. The sterile gauze swabs can also be used as a burn dressing.

Gauze Swabs with X-ray detectable threads are latex free and safe, suited for use in the OR. Every gauze swab contains an x-ray detectable thread(blue, polypropylene, polyester thread, barium sulfate, or cotton X-ray threads). They are normally edge-folded edges into a much-reduced risk of fibers coming off the material and getting stuck in the wound.
Packed into sterile pouches and sterilized before use in the OR, they can absorb the blood and stop the bleeding during the operation. The gauze swabs with x-ray detectable threads are classified as Class IIa medical devices per the intended purpose based on the MDR 2017/745 Annex 5.
